WHY JIO DIDN'T CHARGED IUC TILL NOW?
TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) have certain rules and regulations for telecom operators which need to be followed. TRAI has announced that IUC charges will be removed from January,2020. But due to certain telecom operators opposition, TRAI has announced that they will review this regulation. Jio has promised us to provide FREE calls to its Jio Customers for lifetime. But due to increase in userbase Jio has faced a tremendous loss in paying IUC charges to other operators. Since Jio have more outgoing calls then incoming calls hence they have paid about Rs. 13500 Crore to other operators. Since TRAI has announced to review FREE IUC from January,2020. Hence Jio has decided to charge IUC from there customers till TRAI remove IUC.
